We’re all familiar with the concept of leveling up, taking our characters to the next tier on their journey. This form of evolution is often deeply personal, a chance to reflect on who we are and what we hope to become through play. These games challenge our emotions and logic, and inspire us to create imagined futures together. That creative growth continues to drive our community’s explosion of diverse voices and new game experiences. When the plants started growing faster, people rejoiced at nature fighting back against climate change and Nobody really thought about what would happen if they didn’t stop. Now the only remaining humans are indistinguishable from animals however they are still human so be prepared for territory disputes and plenty of squabbling amongst the remaining scattered populations in Overgrown.
Speaking of human growth, another TTRPG that recently caught our eye takes 3 players on a journey through a queer break up knowing that this break up is hard for their friend but wanting to help them anyway, “This Party Sucks”, is a charming, cozy RPG that might leave you feeling a little called out but it’s certain to leave an impression on anyone who plays it.
