Here at Role, we strive to be the easiest place to run D&D. Over the last few months we’ve been cooking up some new projects to make your next (or first!) campaign on Role even easier: D&D Beyond import, and a new starter adventure Cabin in the Glade – both available for free right now!
D&D Beyond Integration & Updated Room Theme
D&D Beyond is a powerful tool for managing your D&D materials. With its character creator, quick rule reference, and vast library of content it’s a wonderful companion for easy online play. Today we are happy to announce that your D&D Beyond character sheets can now be directly imported to your rooms on Role!
A new “Import From D&D Beyond” option is now available from the “Custom” sheet tab in your game room journal. Simply enter your D&D Beyond Sheet ID or URL, and we’ll load everything up for you.
Reference your characters stats, grab the listing of that magic item you’re attuned to, and read the description of a spell you’re about to cast – all from the side panel of your game room!
Keep the same animated portrait frame, character sheet theme, and even “underdark mode” while viewing your sheet on Role.
Couple this with our new Screen Share feature, for additional D&D room customization!

Free Adventure for Everyone!
With the popularity of shows like Stranger Things, and Actual Plays like Critical Role & Dimension 20, more new players are discovering D&D every day. Role is here to help new DMs and players by making session 1 as easy and prep-free as possible.
We’ve launched our free illustrated Cabin in the Glade starter adventure, a theater-of-the-mind story ideal for new groups and DMs – or experienced parties just looking for a fun low-prep session to play!
