We’ve been very busy here behind the scenes, and this month is looking to be a big one for everyone at Role. We have new features coming, a growing team, and more. A year ago, all of this was just an ambitious dream – a vision of creation and narrative play that we were just preparing to launch into the world.
This summer, everything changed in a big way, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news:
As many of our players know, we’re still only at the start of all our expansive plans for the RPG community. We’ve had great success so far with bringing our early play and creation tools to players everywhere, but there is still so much more we want to do! Our aim has always been to make Role the best possible place for everyone to adventure, socialize, and create role playing content together online.
To that end, we’re incredibly excited to have closed a $2.75m Seed round to help launch Role to the next level and go above-and-beyond the service we’ve always promised. This funding comes from a co-lead partnership with Konvoy Ventures and London Venture Partners, who’s focus and deep gaming experience will help Role become everything it needs to be. They have believed in our vision from the first conversation, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them on the team.
What does this funding mean for us? First, it means a renewed and accelerated focus on feature development, revising and building on the Role you know today in dramatic and powerful ways. It also means our team is growing, with a diverse collection of industry veterans bringing new perspectives to help empower the role playing community.
Most of all: it means you can rely on us for years to come to put every ounce of our passion into delivering for you and supporting Role for the betterment of all our players and creators.
With renewed energy, and these exciting partners in our corner, we know the future of Role is bright indeed.
